Why Donate Crypto Directly? Taxes!
Donating cryptocurrency to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit can be one of the most tax-efficient methods of donation. Donating your cryptocurrency to the Institute for Justice can allow you to avoid capital gains taxes that you would have paid if you sold it. And if you itemize, you may be able to deduct the full value of your crypto. Moreover, the Institute for Justice does not pay any taxes when it sells cryptocurrency, which means the entire value of your donation funds our continuing defense of the Constitution and the liberties it guarantees for all Americans.
