Born and raised in New Mexico, An earned her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from the University of New Mexico. She completed two years of medical school at UNM before deciding to pursue law.
An earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served on the Georgetown Law Journal as Managing Editor of the ARCP and as the Federalist Society Event Coordinator. She was a Student Fellow at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution and a Summer Law Fellow at The Fund for American Studies.
