This report responds to a purported rebuttal of the Institute for Justice’s research on interior design regulations and details how its author, an advocate of increased regulation, fails to provide any evidence of the need for or benefits from limiting entry to the trade. The rebuttal is not only laced with logical and factual errors, but it also concedes a key finding from IJ’s research: Efforts to regulate interior design come exclusively from powerful industry insiders.
